today when I went online my IE8 did not display the toolbars correctly, I reinstalled IE8, same problem.
the second toolbar is empty with the exception of an "x" on the left end.
The top toolbar which contaions "file" "view" "help" etc do not display
The favorites do not display, the Gold star and the gold star with the green arrow display, however when I click on them nothing happens.
The bar which shows the Home page icon shows the little house, the printer, mail envelope and then a series of down arrows. The page icon, the tools, etc do not display.

I am somewhat of a novice.
